In the tradition of the music program Austin City Limits a Public Broadcast Service mega successful music show that captured the eyes and ears of a pre MTV generation in Austin Texas, Newport is getting the chance to capture the eyes and ears of a post MTV generation. Since 1976 PBS has been producing the Texas music scene with the artists that have shaped American music. This show is produced by STAGERightRI and sponsored by Jimmy’s Saloon will showcase the artists, stories and music of Newport Rhode Island and beyond. The show broadcast on Newport City Limits & Newport Arts Scene Radio Hour Podcast, local Public Access Channel 18, statewide Public Access Channel 13 and the Newport City Limits YouTube channel. Additional broadcasting opportunities are being perused.
