Suicide Bill

– Good Morning Breakfast…… (75orLess) Good Morning Breakfast, F–k You Lunch kicks out with a midtempoReplacements style in number in “Don’t Say Anything.” The Replacements reference is a common point of reference with Suicide of Bill and The Liquors. The tempo comes down with Red-Faced at the Ladies Airport” and “I’m not a Thin Guy.” The hooks on “Miss-A-Sippie in RI” and bar rock nirvana “We’re the No Leaf Clover” make this album great. The cricket noises and donut references in “Baker’s Dozen” triggered all kinds of confusion for my stoned roommate. It didn’t get any better for my roommate in the next song, “I’m a Riot,” with the cat sounds. We disagreed on “My Miz- Ree,” where I saw merit in a kind of Paul Westerberg solo vibe. I can relate to the sentiment of “You Said I’d Appreciate it if I Don’t Come into your Bar No More” on multiple levels. I’m sure many bar owners shared similar sentiments about myself but at the same time I wonder if it was because Suicide Bill was singing this song. “White Shadow Bitter” picks the tempo back up and restores the righteous.
